## Tributes From the *Dukes of Hazzard* Family
News of Jones’ death prompted an outpouring of memories from fans and people connected with *The Dukes of Hazzard*.
The loss is especially poignant because Jones had remained connected to many of his former colleagues and to the show’s audience for decades.
In 2025, Jones himself paid tribute to fellow *Dukes of Hazzard* actor Rick Hurst, who played Deputy Cletus Hogg and died at 79. Jones described Hurst as a talented performer with a generous personality and emphasized how much joy he brought to those around him. ([AARP][4])
